When World of Warcraft: Classic launches in the summer of 2019, it will be as close of an authentic recreation as you possibly can Warcraft as it existed in 2006 when patch 1.12 was published. But, the fantastic news, is that does not mean WoW Classic Gold will be a game stuck in stasis. Revealed at a panel through Blizzcon this weekend, match manager Ion Hazzikostas took the stage to reveal Classic's post-launch update programs, which include all of the major raids and events out of vanilla World of Warcraft. Yup, we are likely to be receiving the Opening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj 2.0.

"We know that World of Warcraft, particularly back then, was about a travel," Hazzikostas stated before declaring that Classic could have"staged content unlocks" that would mimic substantially the exact same tempo of a normal MMO. Meaning that, every few months after launch, Classic players can look forward to dungeons new raids, and occasions.

The first stage of those new activities include that the raids of Molten Core, Onyxia, and the Dire Maul dungeon as well as the entire world directors of Kazzak and Azuregos. After that,"when folks are prepared," World of Warcraft: Classic will add Blackwing Lair, battlegrounds and the PvP reward system, and Zul'Gurub. Following that launch will come Ahn'Qiraj, Silithus world material, as well as the green dragons.

Nonetheless, it's Silithus world content which I'm quite excited for because Hazzikostas elaborated that, yes, it usually means that Classic will relive World of Warcraft's greatest world event ever: The Opening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj.

If you did not play World of Warcraft back afterward, the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj was one of WoW's most events --still towering over everything. This scepter is used to ring a gong that opens the Gates, unleashing hell Azeroth across all as the Qiraji invade.

What is awesome, though, is that only one person per server gets to own the scepterring the gong, and make the honorific of Scarab Lord. One of these people was Destiny 2 game director Luke Smith, who told me his tale.

From the form of the Naxxramas raid and Scourge invasion, Classic will find content after Ahn' Qiraj. Hazzikostas reported that this all is a work in progress, however, and Blizzard would work in tandem with fans to work out how to stage and time every one of these upgrades. However, however it falls right into place, it is good to understand that World of Warcraft: Classic won't be a static MMO with a limited endgame.
