It just means that you will have to show a little bit of will power for at least 6 days out of the week.Try to cut down on the amount of food that you eat in a day's time first. For example, don't "Super Size" that value meal at lunch and try to eat the regular sized portions. Then try to switch to healthier selections of foods.For example, try eating a deli sandwich and some baked chips versus the cheeseburger and fries that you usually scarf down. Remember to try to make some small changes at first before making the major changes. You have to walk before you can run!
Try to eat smaller meals more often throughout the day. This is better than larger meals spaced too far apart. For example, instead of eating a big breakfast, goodsized lunch, and huge dinner, try eating six smaller meals. Rather than eating every six hours try eating every three.Now the key word here is smaller so that doesn't mean to eat six times what you eat for lunch in one days time. When you eat smaller sized meals you speed up your metabolism because it burns calories to digest the food that you have eaten. Plus, eating more frequently assures that you don't get too hungry and binge eat when you do sit down to a meal.
